You are invited to two Hanley House events in Old Town !

I hope that you will be able to stop by tomorrow morning for the annual Hanley House Herb Sale from 8:00 am to 10:00 am on Saturday, April 28th. All heirloom varieties are featured this year. Herbs will be sold for $4 each and all proceeds benefit the Hanley House. And please stay for the dedication of the new Hanley Park Pavilion.

Residents of Old Town Clayton, The School District of Clayton PTO Council and the Mayor's Youth Advisory Council are hosting a Meet the Candidates Forum for the Board of Aldermen and Board of Education candidates:

Make an informed decision on April 3! The Board of Education is a contested race; The Board of Aldermen seats are not. However all will be on hand to answer your questions about the issues. For Ward III, the aldermanic candidate is Alex Berger. For the BOE, three candidates are running for two seats: Darryl Higuchi, Jane Klamer and Lily Raymond.

The public is invited to view our Clayton History Society's new display exhibit of Clayton artifacts and memorabilia. This was a fun project as Clayton prepares for its 100th centennial celebration in 2013. Be sure to stop by the library before the end of the month.

If you have any Clayton memorabilia or photos to share with the Clayton History Society, please contact me. The Clayton History Society is currently exploring options for a permanent museum space to showcase our collection.

We encourage everyone to consider putting together a table of friends for the upcoming Clayton Century Foundation (CCF) History Trivia Night. While this is a fund raising event, it is also a great "friend-raising" event.There is a number of great prizes and raffle items including cash prizes for the first and second place tables, and gift baskets from Ruth's Chris, Kaldi's, Extra Virgin, The St Louis Zoo, and many more. Your participation will help CCF History as they strive to preserve the history and artifacts of our community, support the preservation and educational programs at The Hanley House, and publish the newest book on the City of Clayton to coincide with our centennial celebration.

Clayton - Green Power Community Challenge

Clayton residents and business owners, you can help Clayton maintain its unique status as the first city in Missouri to achieve the EPA's designation as a Green Power Community (GPC). Since the city qualified as a GPC, the EPA upped the ante. By the end of 2011, 3% of the power used in the City of Clayton must come from green sources. The challenge effort needs your support NOW to help reach the goal. Spread the Challenge message by encouraging friends and family to sign up for Pure Power during the Clayton Green Power Challenge.

To thank you for your support, any Clayton resident that enrolls online or over the phone between now and December 31st will receive a free, anytime Wehrenberg Movie Ticket in the mail.

Dr. Jenn Ohs and her research team at St. Louis University are conducting a study to examine hiring preferences. The study includes a short video depicting a job interview followed by a short questionnaire.
