Traffic Alert - Missouri American Water Project on Hanley Road

City of Clayton Announcement - Drivers on Hanley Road should expect delays between Maryland Ave. and Forest Park Parkway starting tomorrow morning (9/3/15) and lasting at least one month.

Beginning tomorrow morning (9/3/15) at 7 a.m., Missouri American Water Company will begin work to install a liner to a major water main that recently burst underneath Hanley Road, between Carondelet and Forsyth. The project will entail numerous excavations of pavement and will reduce driving lanes in both directions. This project is expected to last at least one month.

Missouri American Water’s contractor will work from 7 a.m. until 3 p.m., Monday through Friday. However, work in the northbound lanes will not begin until after 9 a.m., in deference to the dominant directional flow of morning rush hour traffic.
